Recovery is personal. So is the support you need.

I'm Chris. I created Quiet Strength Recovery to share tools that helped me rebuild my life. Quiet Sisters gives friends, partners and family a space of their own.

Use what helps. Leave what doesn't. One manageable step is enough for today.

Two apps, two different needs

Choose the space that fits.

Quiet Sisters Recovery

For adult friends, partners and family affected by someone else's addiction. Your needs matter too.

  • Practical words for boundaries and difficult conversations
  • Grounding, reflection and space for your own wellbeing
  • Quick Exit, a passcode lock and family-support links

Writing is encrypted on your device. It is not a monitored conversation with a support worker. Keep your passcode safe and use Settings to make an encrypted backup you control.

My approach

Listen first. Offer tools. Respect choice.

I took useful bits from different recovery programmes and learnt what worked in my own life. I still use those lessons every day.

Sometimes a practical tool helps. Sometimes you need a conversation, a pause or somebody who understands. The apps offer things to try, without making recovery a test you have to pass.

“I can share what helped me. You decide what is useful for you.”

P

U

About Chris

I've had to find my own way too.

I'm Chris Nugent. I've lived through bullying and addiction and built a life in recovery. I know how hard it can be to tell someone what is really going on.

My recovery and experience supporting people have taught me to listen, keep clear boundaries and take small steps seriously. QSR brings those lessons into free tools people can use in their own way.

I want this project to feel human, honest and approachable. Feedback from the people using it will help it grow.

Get in touch

I'd be glad to hear from you.

If you work in recovery, family support or community services, I'd welcome a conversation. You can also tell me what was useful, confusing or difficult to use in either app.

Please keep feedback about using the apps. You do not need to send private journal entries or a full personal history.

Email is checked when I'm available and is not monitored for emergencies.

Support now

When you need help beyond an app.

For immediate danger or a medical emergency in the UK, call 999. For someone to talk to, Samaritans is available on 116 123.
