Privacy, use and feedback
Updated 4 October 2026. Contact: quietstrengthrecovery@outlook.com.
Who runs the project
Quiet Strength Recovery is a founder-led resource project created by Chris Nugent. The two apps are free self-guided tools for adults aged 18 and over. Formal partnerships and longer-term organisational arrangements are being developed.
The website
This website introduces the project and links to the apps and other channels. It has no QSR account, contact form or advertising analytics. Its hosting services may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and protect the service.
Your writing in the apps
Quiet Strength and Quiet Sisters encrypt workbook and journal entries on your device. The reviewed versions have no QSR cloud journal account or automatic upload of your writing. Opening an app still makes technical requests to its hosting provider.
Storage belongs to that browser or app. Your phone, browser or operating system can remove stored data. Keep an encrypted backup from Settings and remember the passcode used when it was made. Individual text or PDF exports are readable files, so keep them privately.

Email and feedback
Chris receives the address, message and attachments you choose to email. Information is used to reply, handle your request or investigate a problem you report. Please keep feedback about using the apps and avoid sending private recovery records, passwords, full journal entries or unnecessary health information.
You can ask about a message you sent or request that it be deleted by emailing the project. Routine email is not a confidential counselling service and is not monitored for emergencies. Permission will be requested separately before identifiable feedback or your words are published.
Volunteering for Google Play testing
If you volunteer, Chris uses the Google Play account email you provide to add you to the closed-testing list for the app or apps you choose. This shares that address with Google Play Console to arrange testing access. Chris also uses your email to send joining instructions and reply about testing or feedback. The website does not display tester email addresses. You can ask Chris to remove you from a testing list by emailing the project.
What the tools offer
These are lived-experience peer-support and educational tools. They are not medical devices and do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition or mental health disorder. They do not replace professional medical advice, counselling, psychotherapy, detoxification, safeguarding or emergency care. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
The apps do not monitor what you write, assess your risk or contact help for you. Use your own judgment, skip anything that feels unhelpful, and seek appropriate support when a need goes beyond an app.
Links to other organisations
Downloads, support resources, LinkedIn, Substack and YouTube open other services. Their own terms and privacy practices apply. Some app links open video search results; those results change and are not endorsements of every video.
Accessibility and problems
If text is hard to read, a control is difficult to use or something fails to save, please say which app and page you were using and what happened. You can use a fictional example. Do not include your passcode or private writing.
Urgent support
For immediate danger or a medical emergency in the UK, call 999. Samaritans is available on 116 123. NHS urgent mental-health guidance explains further options. Outside the UK, use local emergency or crisis services.
